Join Us for Some Coffee & Confidence
The school year is back in session, and with it comes quite a few exciting developments. We are in recruitment season, students are back on campus, classes are starting, and it’s time for Kappa Deltas to do what we do best — build confidence and inspire action.
Every day, we have the opportunity to be our best selves, step confidently into situations and make a positive impact. Our KD journey offers us the ability to make a meaningful difference — from supporting our sisters and showing confidence, to living our values and positively impacting our communities. One of the most valuable aspects of our membership in KD is discussing issues that are important to us and learning from one another. That’s why we are excited to bring a new series of discussion topics to you in our educational Coffee and Confidence blog series! (You can review last year’s blogs here.)
In our Coffee and Confidence posts, we will explore relevant topics with KD collegians and alumnae. Each month, we will introduce a topic on the Kappa Delta blog encouraging you to learn something new. We will discuss a range of issues with one another like professional development, being active bystanders, health and wellness and Kappa Delta history. Throughout the month, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with each other on social media and in person about your experiences and reflect on what you or your chapter might be doing to build confidence and inspire action.
Our goal is to create an avenue to discuss the issues that matter to you. We hope this series will start conversations that help us reflect on who we are as Kappa Deltas and challenge us to live our values. Most importantly, we will learn together on our journey towards a greater and better Kappa Delta.
Do you want to engage in the conversation with us on these topics? Try one of these ideas!
- Post to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #KDCoffee and tell us how you feel about that week’s topic.
- Discuss the post with your chapter through an officer report or as part of a member education workshop.
- Discuss the topics in an alumnae chapter meeting or as part of a council/chapter advisory board meeting to learn about these important issues together.
- Tweet photos or email firstname.lastname@example.org to tell us how your chapter is participating in these conversations on campus.
We hope you’ll join us on Tuesdays to start your morning with a little bit of coffee and confidence. Watch for the blog series to return on Sept. 9.
