Why Kappa Delta?
When you join Kappa Delta Sorority, you become part of a national network of women who are committed to building confidence and inspiring action. Kappa Delta offers its members opportunities to develop leadership skills, learn from others, grow personally and take action on issues that are important to them. It’s a place to develop friends for life who challenge you to be your best!
Kappa Delta welcomes women of all backgrounds to be a part of our organization. We seek members who meet our standards in the areas of character, academics and leadership potential. Kappa Delta does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, disability, national origin or sexual orientation. We welcome and have members from a variety of backgrounds who all bring something unique to our sisterhood, not only to the local chapter but to the national perspective as well.
How do you join a sorority?
As a member of the National Panhellenic Conference, Kappa Delta follows agreed-upon rules that make recruitment fair and consistent for all women. During the recruitment process, potential new members have the opportunity to meet members of different sororities on campus. It’s a mutual selection process that allows potential new members and the chapters to decide on the best fit.
Every college or university has different procedures for joining sororities, so your first contact should be the Panhellenic or Sorority/Fraternity Life Office on your campus. Go to the website of the university you are attending and find the link to the Sorority/Fraternity Life Office. Often, there will be information on how to sign up for sorority recruitment. If the website doesn’t provide that information, there should be a phone number or email address to contact the office.
We encourage you to check out the sororities on your campus to determine which is the best fit for you. Whether you decide to join KD or another sorority, you are sure to find a place to call home. We wish you good luck and best wishes for a successful recruitment!
