Orthopaedic Research Internships

Karen Hasty, PhD, (Alpha Epsilon-Tennessee) an acclaimed professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, is offering the opportunity for Kappa Delta collegians to serve as summer interns. The internship will start June 15, 2015 and end July 24, 2015. Interns will work on a basic science research project in arthritis in a research laboratory 9AM-5PM daily, under the supervision of faculty and trained research personnel at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Additionally, they will participate in a weekly research data conference and journal club and will attend Orthopaedic Surgery training conferences given by UTHSC faculty from Campbell Clinic, an internationally recognized orthopaedic clinic.

The Orthopaedic Research Internship is a great addition to KD's long-standing support of orthopaedic research through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
