National Council

The National Council sets and upholds policies and oversees the work of the sorority. Members of the National Council are elected by voting delegates at Kappa Delta’s National Convention every two years.

Tricia Ruma Spence

National President

Epsilon Alpha-Missouri Science & Technology

Tricia holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering management and a master’s and Ph.D. in information science and technology. She earned her doctorate at Pennsylvania State University. Her professional experience includes consulting with global consulting firms, and she is currently vice president, Enterprise Planning & PMO at Prudential. In addition to serving at national president, she is a director on the Kappa Delta Foundation board. She has served Kappa Delta nationally and locally in both the collegiate and alumnae sectors, previously serving as national vice president-alumnae. Tricia serves on the Kappa Delta Foundation board of directors and has served on many boards at her alma mater, including Missouri S&T board of trustees and Order of the Golden Shillelagh.

Susan Stockton

National Vice President

Delta Gamma-Western Kentucky

Susan graduated with a bachelor's degree in public relations and earned her juris doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law. She has served as a collegiate membership director, national collegiate advisor, collegiate province president and as vice chairman for the Nominating Committee before taking on the role of national vice president. She has been an advisor on four chapter advisory boards. Susan is a retired attorney who previously worked as a senior counsel for General Electric, and she founded Stockton Consulting in Geneva, Switzerland.

Karen Thomas Fesmire

Beta Tau-Vanderbilt

Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business. She has served on the chapter advisory board and house corporation board for two collegiate chapters. At the national level, Karen has served as a special advisor, collegiate province president, collegiate membership director and Legacy Resource Committee chairman. She serves as a director on the Kappa Delta Foundation board and has served on the board of trustees for Vanderbilt University and as president of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association. She is an ordained elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

Barb Hamilton Stacy

Zeta Kappa-Ball State

Barb graduated with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and earned her Masters of Arts from Webster University in both computer resources and information management and human resources development. She traveled as a chapter development consultant and served as a collegiate province president, collegiate membership director and in a variety of chapter advisory board roles. Barb is an active member of the Cleveland West, Ohio, Alumnae Chapter. Well-resourced with a background in training and development, she is a lifelong learner, trainer and educator. She shares her passion for life and learning through Kappa Delta leadership and as a RYT-200 yoga instructor.

Tove Thomas

National Vice President-Alumnae

Tove holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and worked as an elementary school teacher for 28 years before retiring. She began volunteering for Kappa Delta in 1970 and has served as collegiate province president, regional chapter director, special advisor, national director of membership, national director of CABs, alumnae province president, alumnae chapter membership specialist, alumnae chapter operations specialist, alumnae development specialist and, most recently, alumnae chapter specialist. She was a Girl Scout troop leader and founded the Girls’ Athletic Club at Armstrong Junior High School and OAKlub, a philanthropic club, at Oakdale Elementary School.

Jodi Scheurenbrand

National Vice President-Finance

Jodi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Business Administration in finance and economics from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is a certified public accountant with over 30 years of experience driving profitability improvements and operational efficiencies in diverse industries through leadership roles such as vice president-treasurer for Toys R Us and senior VP-finance for Atari. Currently, Jodi is chief financial officer for a private school for children with learning disabilities. She serves on the Kappa Delta National Finance Committee and is a director on the Kappa Delta Foundation board. She previously served as CAB-finance for Eta Iota-Pace.

Julie Landgren Johnson

National Panhellenic Conference Delegate

Julie has served as national president, national vice president-membership and foundation director in addition to her role as NPC delegate. She has served on several chapter advisory boards and house corporations. She previously served on the National Panhellenic Conference Executive Committee as Panhellenics chairman. Julie received a Bachelor of Science in business administration and organizational communications and a master’s degree in higher education administration. She has served on the board of directors of Prevent Child Abuse America and volunteered with Girls Scouts of the USA.

Pamela Nix

Pamela began her role as executive director of the sorority in 2011 and assumed the role for the foundation in 2013. She served her collegiate chapter as president, vice president-membership, Panhellenic delegate and efficiency chairman. Pamela has extensive experience in communications, marketing and organizational management, previously serving as director of marketing for Downtown Vision Inc., in Jacksonville, Florida, where she developed an award-winning branding campaign. Formerly, she held account management positions at Weinberg Harris and Associates and Ketchum and was a legislative advisor to U.S. Representative Nathan Deal. Pamela holds a bachelor's degree in education.

A board of directors governs the work of the Kappa Delta Foundation and ensures the foundation carries out its mission to secure funds for the educational, leadership and charitable purposes of the sorority.

Beth Martin Langford

Beth has served as national president, national vice president, national vice president-collegians, director of collegiate membership, regional chapter director, collegiate province president and chapter advisory board member. She won the 2002 Leadership Tallahassee Distinguished Leadership “Pacesetter” Award and is a past president of Junior League and member of Friends of the Public Library, Brogan Museum of Art and Science, the FSU Committee of 30 and FSU Women’s Athletics Boosters. Beth was inducted into the Florida State University Greek Hall of Fame. Beth currently serves on the national board of directors for Prevent Child Abuse America and the Fraternity/Sorority Political Action Committee. Beth is active in her church, Trinity United Methodist. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications/public relations.

Patty Graham Cappaert

Patty earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and served as social chairman and on the House Corporation Board. She is a charter member of the Vicksburg, Miss., Alumnae Chapter and has served KD on the national level for over 20 years. Patty was inducted into the USM Greek Alumni Hall of Fame in 2014 and served on the Alumni Board of Directors. Patty works as an interior designer for Cappaert Manufactured Housing, where she is an allied member of the ASID and the Color Marketing Group. She serves on the board of directors for the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, Volunteer Mississippi, Friends of Vicksburg National Park and the Americorp Working Group- Vicksburg NCCC Campus. She is a member of the Ocean Reef Club.

Cheryl Grant Sizer

Cheryl graduated with a Bachelor of Science and earned her master’s in educational organization and leadership from the University of Illinois. She has served as national vice president-finance, national vice president-alumnae, national director of scholarship, regional chapter director and collegiate province president. Cheryl has served on several chapter advisory boards and house corporation boards and serves on the host committee for Prevent Child Abuse America and several nonprofit boards in her community. She received the Dean Fred H. Turner Award from the University of Illinois. Cheryl is a senior executive vaccines private account manager for GlaxoSmith Kline.

Jody Jenkins Corry

Jody received an undergraduate degree in journalism and a law degree. After almost 24 years in private practice, she was named vice president and corporate counsel for Athens Regional Health System in Athens, Georgia. She has served Kappa Delta on the local and national levels in various capacities, including two terms as national vice president-collegians. Jody serves her community as a Sunday school teacher and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Athens and a past board member of the Chamber of Commerce.

Karen Thomas Fesmire

Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business. She has served on the chapter advisory board and house corporation board for two collegiate chapters. At the national level, Karen served as a special advisor, collegiate province president, collegiate membership director and Legacy Resource Committee chairman before being elected national vice president-membership. She has served on the board of trustees for Vanderbilt University and as president of the Vanderbilt Alumnae Association. She is an ordained elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

Jaynee Drange Groseth

Director

Sigma Omega-Montana State

Jaynee graduated with a Bachelor of Science in family science and earned her master’s in human development. She has served Kappa Delta as national collegiate advisor, national director of music and national assistant director of membership. She wrote the popular KD song “Sha La La” and many others. Jaynee is involved in the Rotary Club, Business and Professional Women, Riverside Country Club and P.E.O. She also serves in several volunteer positions, including president of United Way of Gallatin County, council member of Hope Lutheran Church and on the board of directors for Montana State Student Leadership Institute.

Sue Brauer Mickelberg

Sigma Sigma-Iowa State

Sue graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and earned her Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of St. Thomas. She is a chartered financial analyst and has a career background in institutional and private wealth investment management. Sue is an active member of the CFA Society of Minnesota, CFA Institute and the Edina Morningside Rotary Club. She is past president of the Edina Morningside Rotary Foundation and current board member and treasurer of the Rotary District 5950 Foundation. Sue is treasurer and former president and vice president-philanthropy of Kappa Delta’s Twin Cities, Minnesota, Alumnae Chapter.

Michelle Parmley Rabideau

Director

Sigma Omicron-Illinois

Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology before going on to earn a Master of Public Administration from Grand Valley State University. Since 1993, she has worked in fundraising and health care and is currently president of Saint Mary’s Foundation. She was recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan and with the Benjamin Franklin Award for Outstanding Fundraising Professional. In 2015, she was appointed by the governor of Michigan to serve on the Michigan Community Service Commission. She is past president of the East Grand Rapids School Board of Education and also serves as a board member of the Michigan Women’s Foundation. She served Kappa Delta on two chapter advisory boards and at the national level for 10 years.

Bonnie Purvis Warren

Bonnie has served as chairman of the Kappa Delta Foundation, national president, National Panhellenic Conference delegate, chairman of the NPC consulting team, national director of pledge education, regional chapter director and collegiate province president. She was an inductee to the University of Southern Mississippi Hall of Fame and Greek Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Mississippi Continuous Service Award, the Hattiesburg Volunteer of the Year Award and Spirit of Women Award. Bonnie was named a Woman of Achievement by Kappa Delta and a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi. She has served on the board for the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation and as state chairman for Mississippi’s Miss Hospitality Pageant. She currently serves on the Greater Pinebelt Community Foundation.

Bailey Headrick

Bailey graduated with a degree in linguistics and psychology. She was a two-term chapter president and also served as vice president-public relations. Bailey was a member of the Rho Lambda women’s leadership society, the editor-in-chief of The Odyssey newspaper and interned at Red Light PR and Paramount Pictures. Bailey joined the headquarters staff in May 2015.

Communications Department

The Communications Department manages the sorority’s brand and national communications, including the website, social media, multimedia, newsletters and other mass communication. It also oversees national public relations and crisis communication and advises chapters on their public relations efforts.

Heidi Moore Roy

Director of Communications

Heidi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in psychology and sociology. She joined the National Headquarters staff in 1996, and previously, she served as editor and production manager for a nonprofit, ecumenical publishing company and also worked in community relations for the American Heart Association of Michigan. Heidi volunteers for God Behind Bars, a prison ministry program.

Sherry Egan Anderson

Sherry earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a second major in psychology. Since graduating, she has called 10 cities in seven states “home,” and her communications career has included working at a university, a national health care corporation, a regional mall and a community newspaper. She joined the National Headquarters staff in 2005 as communications coordinator and served as Angelos assistant editor before assuming her current position in 2011.

Kristen Archer

Senior Multimedia Manager

Delta Pi-Middle Tennessee State

Kristen earned her bachelor’s degree in electronic media production with a minor in criminal justice. Before joining the headquarters staff in 2011, she worked as a multimedia production manager, video editor and photographer for Navigation Advertising and then as a production manager and photographer for Reel 2 Reel Photography. Kristen creates art to sell in her Etsy shop, ARCHd.

Lindsey Archer

Senior Manager of Graphic Design and Marketing

Lindsey graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in communications with an emphasis in public relations. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. Before joining the headquarters staff in 2014, Lindsey worked as the director of marketing for a local restaurant chain, as the director of marketing and design at a photography studio and as a graphic designer. Lindsey creates art to sell in her Etsy shop, ARCHd.

Finance Department

The Finance Department works with the national vice president-finance to manage the financial health of the organization and provide financial assistance and guidance to local chapters.

Leslie Jett Sweeney

Leslie graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychobiology and also studied accounting and finance at the University of Memphis. She is a certified public accountant (inactive). Before joining the headquarters staff in 2015, Leslie worked as the vice president for Finance and Accounting at Guardsmark, LLC and was a senior manager in the audit and advisory division of Ernst & Young.

Sindhuja Gopal

Manager of Accounting

Sindhuja graduated with an undergraduate degree in commerce from India and obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Prior to joining the headquarters staff, she worked for the University of Memphis in key roles in financial reporting as the assistant manager and senior financial consultant.

Cassandra Staton Marshall

Senior Accountant

Beta Zeta-South Carolina

Cassandra graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration and earned a master's in educational psychology from the University of Virginia. While a collegiate member, Cassandra served as president, assistant vice president-finance, leadership chairman and SET leader. She was also a Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award recipient. Cassandra joined the headquarters staff in 2015. 

Shelby Frazier

Accounting Specialist

Shelby received an undergraduate degree from Northwest Mississippi Community College, then transferred to The University of Mississippi where she obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting while also studying business administration. Before joining headquarters, she interned as a bookkeeper with Perry Trucking, Inc.

Sorority Services Department

The Sorority Services Department ensures the National Headquarters runs smoothly. It oversees the headquarters building and archives, the Kappa Delta Boutique, national event planning, alumnae programming, the national database, insurance and risk management.

Heather Pringle Burke

Heather graduated from New York University with a degree in French. Her professional background is in nonprofits and web start-ups. She came to Kappa Delta headquarters in 2012 as the office manager and went on to serve as communications and technology manager before assuming the position as associate director of sorority services.

Shanna Sharpe Davis

Risk Manager & Assistant to the National President

Kappa Alpha-Florida State

Shanna graduated with a bachelor's degree in risk management and insurance and served her collegiate chapter as president and secretary. She has also served as president of the Tallahassee, Florida, Alumnae Chapter and is currently a part of the leadership cabinet for the chapter. She has been the assistant to the national president since 2009 and took on the role of risk manager in 2012.

Shirley McCann Gee

Archives Manager

Gamma Upsilon-Texas A&M/Commerce

Shirley graduated with a degree in speech/drama and history with certification to teach. She has worked at Kappa Delta headquarters since 2001, mostly overseeing Kappa Delta archives and history. Previously, she taught in Texas schools. She is co-founder of the Germantown Children’s Theater and founder of ACTS, an acting troop of teenagers at her church.

Meredith Maddox

Events and Retail Manager

Gamma Delta-East Tennessee State

Meredith graduated with a bachelor's degree in mass communications. She served her collegiate chapter as vice president-public relations, internal PR chairman, assistant social chairman and was a recruitment counselor. After graduation, she served on the chapter advisory board for Gamma Delta-East Tennessee. Before joining the headquarters staff in 2015, Meredith worked as an undergraduate admissions counselor at East Tennessee State University.

Pat Winkel McCaleb

Senior Alumnae Chapter Manager

Pat is a graduate of Port Arthur Business College. She has enjoyed a career in executive administration, sales and entrepreneurship. Pat owned and operated a courier service in Tyler, Texas, for two years. She retired from Teledyne Industries as director of human resources before joining the headquarters staff. Pat is active in the community with the Germantown Performing Arts Center Guild, Josephine Circle and the Germantown Garden Club.

Tim Wyatt

Information Technology Senior Manager

Tim graduated from the South East College of Technology with degrees in computer technology and business operations. Before joining the headquarters staff in 2012, he worked as a process engineer, SQL database administrator and a computer applications administrator.

Chapter Housing Department

The Chapter Housing Department works with the Chapter Housing Committee to manage the housing needs of the sorority. It advises local house corporations in the maintenance and building of chapter facilities and oversees the Chapter House Fund and Magazine Agency.

Laura Fleming Helton

Laura graduated with degrees in political science and humanities. She served her chapter as secretary, Shamrock chairman and sisterhood chairman. Laura has served on two chapter advisory boards and president of one house corporation board. She served on Kappa Delta’s National Leadership Team as a chapter accounting specialist and special advisor before joining the headquarters staff in 2014.

Claire Stuckel

Senior Chapter Housing Manager

Claire has a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Missouri and a master's in higher education from the University of Mississippi. She worked at headquarters as a chapter services coordinator before leaving to take the position of fraternity and sorority advisor at Saint Louis University. She returned to the headquarters staff in 2015 in her current role. Claire has served on a Kappa Delta house corporation board and as a chapter operations director on the National Leadership Team. She currently serves on a chapter advisory board.

Emily Escobosa Alcocer

Emily earned a B.A. in international studies with minors in Chinese and business administration. She traveled for Kappa Delta as a chapter development consultant before heading to Northeastern University where she earned a master’s in higher education administration. She worked as a city-wide director for Varsity Tutors before assuming her current role with Kappa Delta.

Sharis Smith Howell

Chapter Housing Operations Coordinator

Sharis graduated with a degree in Communications from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. Before joining the headquarters staff in June 2016, Sharis worked in the real estate industry with a focus on property management and investment properties.

Chapter Services Department

The Chapter Services Department works closely with National Council members to advise chapter officers, develop member programming and ensure national policies are followed. It also works with the national vice president to establish new chapters and manage the leadership development consultant program.

Katie Durham Barber

Katie graduated with a degree in organizational leadership and went on to earn her master’s degree in education in college student affairs administration from the University of Georgia. While a collegiate member, Katie served as vice president-operations, Academic Excellence chairman and SET leader. She served as an intern at National Headquarters and as a National Convention page. She currently serves Zeta Omega-Memphis as the CAB-membership.

Shauna Prentice

Member Development and Education Manager

Shauna graduated with a degree in middle grades education, specializing in English and social studies. She led her chapter as president, vice president-member education, SET leader, leadership chairman, PACE chairman and served on the standards board. Shauna is a Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award recipient and traveled as a chapter development consultant. She earned her master’s degree in college student personnel administration from James Madison University and previously served as assistant director for student organizations at the University of Kentucky.

Ashly Huff

Ashly graduated with a degree in mathematics with a concentration in secondary education. While a collegiate member, she served her chapter as president, vice president-finance, ritual chairman and magazine chairman. After graduation, she went on to earn her master’s degree in counselor education and student affairs from Clemson University. At Clemson, she worked for University Housing & Dining and volunteered with Epsilon Tau-Clemson as CAB-operations and CAB-member education.

Aly Ruhl

Aly graduated with a degree in child, youth, and family studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She led her chapter as vice-president membership, sisterhood chairman, sales chairman, and as a member of the slate committee and retention committee. She served the Panhellenic community as director of sorority recruitment. Aly earned her master’s degree in college student personnel from Ohio University where she served as the Women's Panhellenic Association advisor.

Catherine Weiser

Catherine graduated with a degree in communication studies and a minor in political science. She served her chapter as vice president-member education, secretary and alumnae relations chairman. After graduation, she went on to earn her master’s degree in higher education administration and student affairs from Vanderbilt University where she worked for the Office of Greek Life. She served as the membership chairman for the Nashville Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter.

Kirstin Barry

Kirstin graduated with a B.A. in public health. While a collegiate member, Kirstin served as vice president-operations, SET leader, Convention delegate and on the Shamrock Committee. She joined the headquarters staff in 2010 as a chapter development consultant and helped to establish Eta Phi-Boston. She then served as a chapter services manager before moving into the position of extension and new chapter development manager. Kirstin volunteers with Alpha Delta-Rhodes as CAB-membership and CAB-operations.

Kim Lewis

Kim graduated with a degree in public relations and a minor in electronic media broadcasting. While a collegiate member, she was president, vice president-standards, SET leader and magazine chairman. Kim traveled for Kappa Delta as a leadership development consultant, re-establishing Sigma Mu Chapter at The George Washington University and establishing the Theta Gamma Chapter at Brown University.

Kappa Delta Foundation Staff

The staff of the foundation works closely with the Kappa Delta Foundation board of directors to raise funds for the educational, leadership and philanthropic work of the organization. It oversees the foundation’s national communications, fundraising appeals, major donor contributions, scholarships, internships and grants. It also focuses on donor cultivation and stewardship.
