Kappa Delta is committed to inspiring each and every member to lead a values-based life and become a woman of greatness. The principles and ideals upon which our organization was founded are ingrained in everything we do as a sorority, and our members and chapter programs and initiatives reflect these values every day.

In essence, Kappa Deltas strive to Live Great! The G-R-E-A-T in “Live Great” is a simple acronym to remind us of the values we share as Kappa Deltas.

Truth and loyalty to each other

Living great, or living by our values, promotes all that Kappa Delta stands for. Clearly, it is when Kappa Delta members and chapters align their values with their actions that we are really at our best. When more than 200,000 members are dedicated to leading with values, we are empowered to better the world.

Kappa Delta introduced Live Great at National Leadership Conference this summer. The following videos from these lively and informative sessions are available on the members-only 24/7 filing cabinet:

Leading With Values – NPC Delegate Julie Johnson explores the values that we share as Kappa Deltas -- G-R-E-A-T -- and how we as members can Live Great! Ben & Jerry’s “Grand Poobah of P.R,” Sean Greenwood, entertainingly reveals the ice cream company’s philosophy on corporate responsibility. Greenwood describes how both Ben & Jerry’s and Kappa Delta lead with their values and commit themselves to giving back to society every day.

Selling Who We Are--Values-Based Recruitment - Jessica Gendron, co-author of I Heart Recruitment: The Eight Steps to Limitless Possibilities for Sororities, offers an honest approach to educating sorority members about values-based , dynamic recruitment . She suggests that chapters attract more higher-quality new members not by skits, songs and decorations but rather by sharing their values with potential new members.
